Blue Shield will no longer categorize their provider network.....

In the past, many of you may have been confused by the categories "Choice" and "Affiliate" used to differentiate between Blue Shield's network hospitals.  Effective January 1, 2006, Blue Shield will no longer tier their network hospitals. 

As a result, hospitals will no longer be divided into these categories and all network hospitals will be listed as "Choice" hospitals.  Therefore, your clients will get a greater selection of hospitals to choose from without any additional costs!
