Nationwide is having a few plan changes effective January 1, 2006!

Since Nationwide jumped into the California market with full force, they have continued to demonstrate their insight in

Walgreen's has been added to the Nationwide pharmacy network!
Claims for severe mental illness and serious emotional disturbance of a child will be processed as any other illness, not subject to the limits that apply to other mental health coverage.
Out-Of-Network prescription drug coverage is no longer available.
For some additional services, coinsurance paid does not apply to the plan's Coinsurance Maximum Limit (if any). Those services include: alcoholism, drug abuse, non-severe mental health, educational programs, and transplants.
Physician Office Visits on Plans 1-3: The copay applies to the evaluation and management charges. Ancillary charges are subject to plan deductible and coinsurance.
Voluntary Sterilization on Plans 1-3: The copay applies to the evaluation and management charges. Ancillary charges are subject to plan deductible and coinsurance.
Urgent Care on Plan 1-3: The copay applies to the evaluation and management charges. All charges are subject to the plan deductible and coinsurance.
ER on Plans 1-3: The insured pays a $100 copay, plus plan deductible and coinsurance.
Rx: A brand-name deductible of $100 per single, $200 max per family will apply on Plans 1-3. Plans 1-6 will exclude out-of-network pharmacy coverage.
New exclusions on all plans:

Out-of network coinsurance amounts do not apply to the out-of-pocket max for alcoholism, drug abuse, non-severe mental health, educational programs or transplants.

For agents with existing Nationwide business, these changes will take effect at the group's anniversary.
